General Counsel Solutions Adds ContractClix Contract Management Software Solution to Service Offering

NEW YORK -- General Counsel Solutions, LLC (GCS), a leading provider of on-demand, high-caliber legal services for technology companies, today announced the commercial launch of its contract management software platform, ContractClix. The addition of ContractClix allows GCS to further enhance its legal and contract management service offerings by providing its clients with a flexible and cost-effective tool to optimize the management of all of their contracts as well as other important documents.

Available on an installed or hosted basis, ContractClix is a scalable, Web based contract management tool that allows the critical information contained in contracts and other important documents to be instantly available and managed seamlessly across an enterprise. Developed and used originally as an in-house platform for a technology company backed by internationally known venture capital firms, ContractClix allows users anywhere in the world to create, edit, and view summarized contract meta data as well as retrieve new contracts and electronic versions of executed contracts at anytime from anywhere. Access levels are based upon user responsibilities and geographic locations, so users, and third parties, such as auditors or law firms, are only given access to information that they actually need.

"Combined with General Counsel Solutions on-demand high touch legal services, we now offer companies a solution to handle all their contract management and legal needs," said Gregg Schor, CEO of GCS. "By making contract-related information and legal resources accessible across the enterprise, we help General Counsels and CFO's and their departments deliver critical information and support to business units when they need it."

The flexibility and functionality of ContractClix makes it ideal for companies that have intensive contract management and due diligence needs, as well as private equity and venture capital firms that need to manage documents and information across their portfolio companies. ContractClix's robust reporting capabilities are designed for both daily operations and due diligence events, and users can easily track information such as key dates and non-standard terms which frequently fly under the radar at companies of all sizes, only to be discovered when a problem arises and it is too late in the process. ContractClix allows 24 hour real-time access to contracts and deal-related information at the click of a mouse, as well as disaster recovery back-up.

"ContractClix is a robust platform that can be utilized throughout the Contract Management Lifecycle," said Larry Mize, the principal architect of the software and GCS' Chief Operating Officer. "It manages all types of corporate documents, leases, HR records, insurance policies, financial spreadsheets, and can dynamically search them and issue a wide range of standard and custom reports." Mize was formerly a contracting officer in the US Air Force and a Director of Contracts at MainControl, Inc. and MRO Software.

ContractClix has already been successfully implemented at public and private companies. It was originally used in daily operations and for due diligence events by MainControl, which was headquartered in McLean, Virginia. MRO Software acquired MainControl in 2002 and continued using ContractClix on a worldwide basis. MRO was traded on NASDAQ and had over 1,000 employees prior to its acquisition by IBM last year.
